Second Baruch

And the fifth black waters which you saw raining,

these are the works which the Amorites practiced, and the incantations

of their sorceries which they performed,

and the wickedness

of their mysteries,

and the pollution

of their uncleanness.

Moreover, Israel also was defiled at that time by sins in the days

of the judges,

even though they saw many signs which were being done

by him who made them.
