Yet this I say as I consider,

and I speak against you, O land that prospers:

'The midday does not blaze at all times,

nor do the rays of the sun continually shine.

Do not expect and think that you will always prosper and rejoice,

and do not be excessively exalted and oppress.

For truly in its time wrath will be aroused against you,

which now is held back in longsuffering as by reins.'
