Read elsewhere

What it is

An allegorical wedding at which each of the seven liberal arts appears as a bridesmaid and delivers a summary of her discipline.

Why it lasted

It fixed the seven liberal arts as the shape of Western education for a thousand years, and was a school text throughout the Middle Ages.

Where to read it

Public domain and free to read in full, though not held here. The archives below have it.

These open a search on each archive rather than a direct link, which is the honest way to point at an edition nobody here has checked line by line.
