1. I was sent forth from [the] Power,
and have come to those who meditate on me,
and have been found among those who seek for me.
2. Look at me, you who meditate on me,
and you obedient ones, obey me.
3. You who expectantly wait for me, embrace me,
and send me not away from your sight,
and make not your voice hateful to me, nor your hearing.
4. Be not ignorant of me in any place or at any time.
5. Be on your guard; be not ignorant of me
1. For I am the first and the last.
2. I am the honored and the scorned.
3. I am the whore and the holy.
4. I am the wife and the virgin.
5. I am [the mother] and the daughter.
6. I am the limbs of my mother.
I am the barren one whose children are many.
7. I am she whose wedding is great,
and I have taken no husband.
8. I am the midwife and she who bears not.
9. I am the comfort after my labor pains.
10. I am the bride and the bridegroom,
and my husband gave birth to me.
11. I am the mother of my father
and the sister of my husband,
and he is my offspring.
12. I am the servant of him who possessed me.
I am the ruler of my offspring,
who, however, [gave birth to me] before the day of my birth.
13. And he is my offspring born [on] time,
and my power is from him.
14. I am the staff of his power during his youth,
[and] he is my rod when I am old,
and whatever he wants will come to pass for me.
15. I am the silence that is incomprehensible
and the thought whose remembrance is great.
16. I am the voice whose sound is manifold
and the word whose appearances are many.
17. I am the utterance of my name.
1. Why do you love those who hate me
and hate those who love me?
2. You who deny me confess me,
and you who confess me deny me.
3. You who speak the truth about me lie about me,
and you who lie about me speak the truth about me.
4. You who know me, be ignorant of me,
and those who have known me not, let them know me,
for I am knowledge and ignorance.
5. I am shame and pride.
6. I am without shame; I am ashamed.
7. I am strength and I am fear.
8. I am war and peace.
9. Heed me: I am the disgraced and the great.
10. Heed my poverty and my wealth.
11. Be not arrogant toward me when I am cast down on the ground,
[and] you will find me in [those who] will come to be.
12. And when you look [at] me on the dung-heap,
do not abandon and leave me cast out,
and you will find me in the kingdoms.
13. And do not despise me when I am cast out among the disgraced,
and when in the lowliest places, laugh not at me,
and cast me not out among those killed in violence.
