What it is
Enoch is carried through ten heavens, sees the prison of the fallen watchers and the place prepared for the righteous, is anointed and clothed as one of the glorious ones, and returns for thirty days to dictate three hundred and sixty-six books.
Why it lasted
Preserved only in Slavonic monasteries, and containing the fullest ancient description of the seven or ten heavens Paul's third heaven belongs to. Whether it is first-century or medieval remains genuinely open.
