What it is

A dialogue between the Servant and Eternal Wisdom, moving from the sweetness of divine love to the passion, and including a hundred short meditations for daily use.

Why it lasted

The most widely read German devotional book of the later Middle Ages, and the gentlest translation of Eckhart's thought into something ordinary people could pray.
