--- And he dwelt there two years. And he moved from there toward the south as far as Bealoth, and a famine arose over the land.
And Abram went into Egypt in the third year of the week, and he dwelt in the land of Egypt five years before his wife was taken from him.
And Tanis, a city of Egypt, was built at that time, seven years after Hebron.
And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had taken Sarah the wife of Abram, the Lord afflicted Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarah the wife of Abram.
And then Abram was greatly enriched with riches: with all sheep and cattle and donkeys and camels and horses, and male servants and female servants, and with much silver and gold. And indeed Lot, his brother's son, also had riches.
And Pharaoh returned Sarah the wife of Abram to her husband, and sent him away from the land of Egypt. And he came to the place where he had pitched his tent at the first, to the place of the altar, with Ai on the east and Bethel on the west; and he blessed the Lord his God who had brought him back in peace.
And it came to pass in the forty-first jubilee, in the third year of the first week, he returned to this place and offered burnt offerings, and called upon the name of the Lord: 'You are God Most High, my God forever and ever.'
And in the fourth year of this week, Lot was separated from him and dwelt in Sodom. And the men of Sodom were exceedingly sinful and wicked in their hearts.
--- because Lot, the son of his brother, was separated from him, because he had no children.
Lot was taken captive from him. And in the fourth year of this week of this jubilee, God said to Abram: 'Lift up your eyes from the place where you are sitting, to the west and south and east and north.
For all the land that you see I will give to you and to your seed forever. And I will make your seed like the sand of the sea, so that your seed will not be numbered.
And as for you, arise, walk through its length and breadth, and see it all, for to your seed I will give it.' And Abram went to Hebron and dwelt there. ---
--- him, and I will multiply him and increase him exceedingly. For he will beget twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation.
And my covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this season in the coming year.'
And he finished speaking with him, and God went up from Abraham.
And Abraham did just as God had said to him, and he took Ishmael his son and all those born in his house and those bought with money, every male in his house; and he circumcised the flesh of their foreskin at that time.
And Abraham circumcised himself on that day, and all those born in his house and his domestic servants and those bought with money, even of the sons of foreigners, he circumcised them all.
This law is for all the generations of eternity, and there is no passing over a single day of the days, because it has been commanded as an eternal ordinance and written on the heavenly tablets.
That every male born whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised by the eighth day does not belong to the covenant which God covenanted with Abraham, for he belongs to the children of destruction; and there is no longer a sign upon him that he belongs to God, but rather of destruction and perdition from the earth, because he has broken the covenant of the Lord our God.
For all the angels of the presence and all the archangels of blessing—from the days of their creation, before the angels of the presence and the angels of sanctification—he sanctified Israel, that it might be together with him and with his holy angels.
And do you command the children of Israel that they keep the covenant of this sign throughout their generations as an eternal covenant, and they will not be rooted out from the land.
For he has decreed in the decree of the covenant that it be kept forever among all the children of Israel.
For Ishmael and his sons and his brothers and Esau God did not draw near to himself, nor did he choose from among them, although they also are of the sons of Abraham, as he knew them; but he chose Israel, that they should be to him a people.
And he sanctified him and com---
--- all their works, how they were exceedingly wicked and sinful and unclean, practicing uncleannesses in their flesh and committing abominations upon the earth.
For in this manner God will execute judgment in the places, wherever they commit the abomination of Sodom, thus he will judge them.
And we delivered Lot from there, because God remembered Abraham, so that he delivered him from the midst of the overthrow.
For he and his daughters committed iniquity on the earth such as had not been done in all the earth from the days of Adam until him, that a man should lie with his daughters.
For behold, it is commanded and written concerning all their seed on the heavenly tablets, that such shall be removed and exterminated, and that their judgment shall be like the judgment of Sodom, so that not any seed of a man shall be left among them on the earth in the day of judgment.
And in this month Abraham departed from Hebron, and went and dwelt between Kadesh and Shur in the borders of Gerar.
And in the middle of the fifth month he moved from there and dwelt beside the Well of the Oath.
And in the middle of the sixth month God visited Sarah and did for her as he had spoken.
And she conceived and bore a son in the seventh month, in the middle of the month, at the time of which God had spoken to Abraham; on the festival day of the firstfruits, Isaac was born.
And Abraham circumcised his son on the eighth day; he was the first to be circumcised according to the covenant ordained forever.
And in the sixth year of the fourth week we came to Abraham beside the Well of the Oath, and we appeared to him as we had said to Sarah, that we would return to her and she would have conceived a son.
And we returned in the seventh month, and we found Sarah pregnant before us. And we blessed him, and told him all that had been decreed concerning him: and how he was to die, and that he would still beget six sons, and that he would see all of them before he died; but in Isaac shall a name be multiplied and called.
