1. The secret speech from the declaration according to which Jesus spoke with Judas Iscariot during eight days preceding the three days before he observed Passover.
2. When he appeared on earth, he did signs and great miracles for the salvation of men.
3. While some [walked] on the righteous path, and others walked in their sin, the twelve disciples were summoned, and he began to talk with them concerning the mysteries transcending the world and concerning what will transpire up until the end (of the world).
4. Several times he did not reveal himself to his disciples (in his usual form). Instead, ‹they› would find him among them ‹as a child›.
1. One day, he came to his disciples in Judea, and found them sitting, assembled together, saying the liturgy.
2. As he [saw] his disciples assembled together, sitting, giving thanks over the bread, [he] laughed,
3. but the disciples asked him: “Teacher, why do you laugh at [our] thanksgiving? What we did is what is right.”
4. He answered them, saying: “I neither laugh at you, nor do you act thus by your choosing. Instead, with this your God [will be] praised.”
5. They said: “Teacher, you [...] are the Son of our God.”
6. Jesus asked them: “How is it that [you] know me? Truly, I say to you that no generation of the people among you will come to know me.”
7. When his disciples had heard this, [they] began to grow combative and furious, and were cursing him in their minds,
8. but when Jesus beheld their folly, [he said] to them: “Why has (your) confusion produced fury?
9. Your God, who is inside you, as well as [his stars], have grown combative over your souls.
10. Let the [unwavering] one among your people produce the Perfect Man and stand in front of me.”
11. And all of them said, “We are strong,” but their spirit lacked the courage to stand in front of [him], with the exception of Judas [Is]cariot.
12. He was able to stand in front of him, but he was unable to look into his eyes. Instead, he turned away his face.
13. Judas said to him: “I know who you are, and from where you came. You have come from the deathless aeon of Barbelo, and he who sent you, I am unfit to utter his name.”
14. Given that Jesus was aware he was contemplating an exalted matter, he said to him: “Come away from them, and I will speak to you the mysteries of the kingdom, not so that you will go there, but so that you will groan greatly, because truly, someone else will take your place, so that the twelve [elements] will be completed with their God.”
15. And Judas asked him: “On which day will you speak to me concerning this, and when will the great day of light dawn for [that] generation?”
16. When he had said this, though, Jesus left him.
1. When morning arrived, he appeared to his disciples, and they said to him: “Teacher, where did you go, and what did you do when you had left us?”
2. And Jesus answered them: “I went to another generation, prodigious and holy.”
3. His disciples asked him: “Lord, what is the prodigious generation that is higher than us, and holy, and not among these aeons?”
4. When Jesus had heard this, he laughed, and asked them: “Why do you muse in your mind concerning the strong and holy generation?
5. Truly, I say to you, not one born of this aeon will see [that generation], nor will a single angelic host of the stars rule over that generation, nor will a single mortal born of a human be able to join with it, because [that generation] does not originate from [...]
6. [...] that came into being [...] the generation of men [...], but it is from the generation of [the prodigious] men [...], mighty authorities [...], nor a single power [of the aeons] wherein you are kings.”
7. When his disciples had heard this, each and every one of them grew confused in their spirit, and they were unable to say anything.
