What it is
A revision of the Georgian scriptures and service books against Greek originals, undertaken to bring the Georgian church into line with Byzantine usage.
Why it lasted
It settled the Georgian liturgical text, and his defence of Georgian Christianity before the Byzantine emperor is a small classic of national self-assertion.
