What it is
Four books against pagan fatalism, Zoroastrian dualism, Greek philosophy, and Marcion, by a translator who had studied at Edessa and Constantinople. The section on Zurvanism is a straight description of Persian religion from someone living under Persian rule.
Why it lasted
The first work of Armenian theology and the single best source for Zoroastrian belief in this period, since it reports what its neighbours actually said rather than what later Zoroastrian texts systematised.
