What it is
A letter to Christians in Pamphylia who asked for something to hold on to, written three years before the Panarion and covering the same ground more calmly: the Trinity, the resurrection of this same body, and a warning against Origen's allegory.
Why it lasted
Contains two full creeds, one of which is close enough to the text agreed at Constantinople in 381 to have fuelled a century of argument about which came first — the earliest evidence for the creed the whole church still recites.
