What it is
A complete alternative theology rejecting the Trinity and infant baptism, containing in passing the first European description of the pulmonary circulation of the blood.
Why it lasted
Its author was burned at Geneva with a copy chained to his leg. Three copies survived, and the controversy over his death began the modern argument for toleration.
