Discourses Against Judaizing Christians

John Chrysostom · c. 347–407

Read elsewhere

What it is

Eight sermons attacking members of his own congregation who attended synagogue festivals, in language of extreme violence.

Why it lasted

Included here because it must be known rather than because it should be admired: these sermons were quoted for centuries to justify persecution, and they remain the darkest legacy of a great preacher.

Where to read it

Public domain and free to read in full, though not held here. The archives below have it.

These open a search on each archive rather than a direct link, which is the honest way to point at an edition nobody here has checked line by line.
