The Acts of Thomas

What it is
Thomas is sold as a slave and carried to India, where he builds a palace in heaven for a king who paid for one on earth — and where the Hymn of the Pearl tells of a prince sent to Egypt who forgets who he is.
Why it lasted
The foundation legend of Indian Christianity, and the container of the Hymn of the Pearl, one of the great poems of late antiquity.
Where to read it
Public domain and free to read in full, though not held here. The archives below have it.
These open a search on each archive rather than a direct link, which is the honest way to point at an edition nobody here has checked line by line.
